Inmet Mining Announces End of Ok Tedi Strike Action

TORONTO, March 14 /CNW/ - Inmet Mining Corporation (IMN-TSX) today announced that the unlawful strike action at the Ok Tedi mine has ended. Ok Tedi's management has advised that employees have agreed to an amicable return to work as of Saturday, March 15, 2008.

The strike action will result in lost production of approximately 2,500 tonnes of copper contained in concentrates (Inmet's share-450 tonnes) and 6,400 ounces of contained gold (Inmet's share-1,200 ounces).
